under the pipal tree
Album re-design
The post-rock and contemporary classical band, mono, has a strong visual narrative that spans through many of its albums: the depiction of two figures within an indistinct landscape.

The original cover for MONO's Under the Pipal Tree, the band's debut studio album, is one of the outliers in this visual language. Here I reimagined the cover design with the two-figure element in mind, maintaining its original symmetry to convey sanctity, while focusing on the tactile and nostalgic potential of noise and distortion.
